17 Armed Taliban Killed and Wounded in Faryab Province

Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army and Afghan Air Forces conducted ground and air raid to clear some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stability of Afghanistan.

The operation launched in Andkhoi and Qarghan districts, northern Faryab province, as a result, five armed Taliban including a local commander of armed Taliban killed and seven other armed Taliban including a shadow district governor of armed Taliban for Andkhoi district seriously wounded.

Three ANDSF soldiers were wounded and no civilian was harmed during the raid.

In a separate report, two armed Taliban including a local commander of armed Taliban killed and three other armed Taliban including a local commander of armed Taliban seriously wounded following a clash with Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.

The incident took place in Garziwan district, Faryab province, yesterday.

No one was harmed during the clash.
