The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime ( UNODC) according to a survey, opium cultivation in Afghanistan has increased by 19 percent in 2024 compared to 2023.
Generally; point view of Islam religion, drugs are a destructive  and a negative phenomenon, the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, specially  keeping this in mind and based on the order of the leadership of Esteemed - Amirul Mumineen- Sheikh Sahib (حفظه الله), prioritizes confronting and fighting this phenomenon  and agreed that banning the cultivation and production of narcotics in Afghanistan is also a part of these basic and fundamental measures of the Islamic Emirate.
The Ministry of Interior affairs has completely rejected  (UNODC) survey and the claim mentioned by the organization and far from the truth, and surely  that this survey was conducted before the police campaign to wipe out the poppy fields in the beginning of the year by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, so after which all those fields were destroyed by the police, so this claim is baseless and incorrect.
The reviews and evaluations made by the Ministry of Interior affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan  on how to cultivate and produce drugs are contrary to the survey of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
According to the evaluations of The Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan according to his evaluations and reviews, the cultivation and production of narcotics, especially poppy cultivation in Afghanistan in the last one year shows a significant decrease compared to previous years.
The anti-narcotics Islamic  police forces, as they were able to successfully fight the drug phenomenon in 2022 and 2023 and reduce it to the lowest level in Afghanistan, will take decisive and serious steps in the fight against this phenomenon in 2024 and will continue to be serious for removing drugs in the future.

Mufti Abdul Mateen "Qani"
