One Individual Arrested for Fraud and Extorting Money from the Public in Khost Province

Criminal Investigation Department personnel of the Khost Provincial Police Command arrested an individual in Khost city for deceiving residents by falsely claiming to facilitate access to humanitarian assistance.
According to the investigation, the suspect collected money from people under the pretext of registering them with charitable organizations. During initial questioning, the individual confessed to defrauding members of the public and receiving money from them.
The suspect also admitted that over the past two years, he had obtained thousands of Afghanis from residents by making false promises of registering them to receive humanitarian aid.
The arrested individual, along with the case file, will be referred to the relevant judicial authorities for further legal proceedings.
