Cash Assistance Provided to 200 Needy Families in Kabul
The Ministry of Interior’s Deputy Directorate for Counter-Narcotics distributed cash assistance to 200 needy families in Kabul Province.
Each of the 200 needy and begging families, who had previously been identified as eligible by a designated committee in Kabul Province, received AFN 5,000 in cash from the Deputy Directorate for Counter-Narcotics.
A ceremony was held on the occasion, attended by Al-Haj Sheikh Abdul Rahman Munir, Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics, along with a number of officials and representatives from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs, the municipality, and the Mujahideen.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics said that, according to the teachings of Islam, helping those in need is an important duty of wealthy people in society. He added that those who help the poor will benefit both in this world and in the hereafter.
