New Uruzgan Governor Officially Appointed and Assumes Office
Al-Haj Mawlawi Shamsuddin Shariati, the newly appointed governor of Uruzgan Province, was officially introduced and began his duties at a ceremony attended by Qari Fasihuddin Fitr, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, Al-Haj Mawlawi Abdul Rahman Muslim Kunduzai, the former governor of Uruzgan; Al-Haj Mullah Bari Gul Talib, the deputy governor; officials from various government departments, religious scholars, tribal elders, and a number of other participants.
At the ceremony, Qari Fasihuddin Fitr, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, welcomed the appointment of the new governor and expressed confidence that he would strive to serve the people of Uruzgan.
Al-Hai Mawlawi Shamsuddin Shariati, the newly appointed governor of Uruzgan, emphasized responsibility, transparency, adherence to the law, and joint cooperation in his remarks. He said that he would first practice transparency and adherence to the law himself and then expect the same from others.
He called on officials and the people to cooperate and work together to serve the people. He added that the efforts and cooperation of everyone are needed for the success of the Islamic system.
The new governor of Uruzgan assured that, with trust in and the help of Almighty Allah, he would fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him in the best possible manner.
