ANDSF Resumes Clearance Operation in Bala Marghab

In past 48 hours, 99 Taliban militants were killed and 35 other Taliban militants were wounded during a joint clearance operation.

The operation carried out jointly by Afghan National Army Commandos, General Command of Police Special Units (GCPSU) and NDS operatives in Bala Marghab district, Badghis province.

In the meantime, ANDSF seized and destroyed various types of weapons, ammunition and vehicles used by the militants.

Several villages of Bala Marghab cleared of armed Taliban and the clearance operation is under way to be cleared from armed Taliban presence.

Unfortunately, during this operation, four Afghan National Policemen were martyred and 24 others were wounded.

The Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have stepped up Counter-Terrorism operations to suppress the insurgency activities of the terror groups.
