Foundation Stone Laid for New Administrative Building at Khawaf–Herat Railway Border Port

The foundation stone for a new and fully equipped administrative building for the Border Police was laid at the Khawaf–Herat Railway Border Port in Ghoryan District of Herat Province, near the Iranian border.
The ceremony was attended by a delegation from the General Directorate of Border Police under the Deputy Ministry for Senior Security Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, Qari Ghiasuddin Furqani, Commissioner of the Khawaf Port, along with a number of border police personnel.
The building will be constructed at a cost of 39 million Afghanis through the General Directorate of Construction of the Deputy Ministry for Logistics and Procurement of the Ministry of Interior, in accordance with technical and construction standards. The project aims to improve administrative management at the port and to standardize and enhance the working environment for border police forces.
