Foundation Stone for the Construction of Border Police Headquarters Laid at Badakhshan Airport

A ceremony was held at the airport in the city of Fayzabad, the capital of Badakhshan province, to mark the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the Border Police Headquarters. The event was attended by Al- Haj Mawlawi Mohammad Ismail Ghaznawi, the governor of Badakhshan, Mullah Nik Mohammad Malang, the police chief, and several officials and Mujahideen.

Mullah Nik Mohammad Malang, the police chief of Badakhshan, expressed confidence in the full provision of security and the reduction of crime rates in the province. He stated that the provincial police leadership, in addition to developing and implementing security plans and measures, has also seriously undertaken various developmental and construction projects. Among these is the project for the Border Police headquarters at the airport, which has a budget of over 16.5 million Afghanis. In addition to this, several other projects have been approved by the Ministry of Interior, and their inauguration is expected soon.
