Nearly 300 Kilograms of Narcotics Prevented from Being Smuggled

Personnel of the Counter-Narcotics Police of the Ministry of Interior, in several separate intelligence operations, arrested 6 individuals in connection with the smuggling of 197 kilograms of opium from Takhar Province; three individuals in connection with the smuggling of 49 kilograms of opium from Kishm District of Badakhshan Province; and two others in connection with the smuggling of 49 kilograms of opium from the area of Police District 5 in Nimroz Province.
Meanwhile, personnel of Balkh District Police in Balkh Province arrested one individual in connection with the sale of 700 “K” tablets
