Mawlawi Mehrullah Hamad Appointed as New Paktika Governor

The handover ceremony for Mawlawi Mehrullah Hamad, the newly appointed governor of Paktika Province, was held on Sunday in the presence of Mawlawi Mohammad Nabi Omari, First Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs, officials from various departments of Paktia and Paktika provinces, and a number of residents of the province.
During the ceremony, Mawlawi Mohammad Nabi Omari emphasized the implementation of the general amnesty by officials and appreciated the sacrifices and dedication of the Mujahideen of Paktika Province.
Meanwhile, Mawlawi Abdul Khaliq Abed, the former governor of Paktika, spoke about his tenure, while Mawlawi Mehrullah Hamad, the province’s new governor, pledged to manage provincial affairs in coordination with the people.
According to the decree of the Amir al-Mu'minin (may Allah protect him), Mawlawi Abdul Khaliq Abed has been transferred from Paktika to Paktia Province, while Mawlawi Mehrullah Hamad has been transferred from Paktia to Paktika Province as their respective new governors.
