Illegal light and heavy weapons seized in Khost

The Counter-Terrorism Police Management of Khost Police Command, based on intelligence reports, has discovered and seized a number of light and heavy weapons, ammunition, and military equipment during the past 6 months in the provincial capital and 12 districts of Khost.
The seized weapons and ammunition include:
17 Kalashnikov rifles, 
One rocket launcher, 
One PK machine gun, 
One M16 rifle, 
7 pistols, 
Thousands of mortar, PK, and Kalashnikov rounds.
In addition, several hand grenades and other military equipment and ammunition were seized during the operations. The items had been illegally possessed and have been handed over to the relevant authorities for confiscation.
Several individuals have also been arrested in connection with the seized weapons and ammunition and have been referred to judicial and legal institutions along with their cases.
