Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics Meets Russian Ambassador in Kabul

Sheikh Abdul Rahman Munir, Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics at the Ministry of Interior Affairs, held a meeting with Dmitry Zhirnov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Afghanistan, along with his accompanying delegation, at his office.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister welcomed the Russian Ambassador and described narcotics as a serious and global challenge, emphasizing that effective counter-narcotics efforts require broad international cooperation. He added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan expects countries around the world—particularly the Russian Federation—to provide comprehensive cooperation in preventing drug cultivation and trafficking, creating alternative livelihoods for farmers, and other related areas.
The Ambassador of the Russian Federation, in turn, praised the measures and efforts undertaken by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in the fight against narcotics.
