A long-standing conflict spanning 27 years between three families in Paghman District of Kabul Province—which had resulted in four deaths and three injuries—was peacefully resolved through the mediation efforts of local authorities.

A reconciliation gathering was held in the district, attended by Mawlawi Abdullah Mokhtar, Deputy for Logistics Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, Alhaj Qari Ali Mohammad “Mujahid,” the district governor of Paghman, Mufti Ehsanullah, head of the Paghman Ulema Council, along with several officials, religious scholars, local elders, and representatives from all three families.

During the event, the district governor expressed his satisfaction with the reconciliation achieved among the families in Qala-e-Haidar village. He stated, “Hostility and hatred among Muslim brothers have no place in the Islamic Sharia. It is indeed a moment of joy that the elders of these families, after many years, have come together to restore peace and now live side by side in harmony and brotherhood.”

Community elders and influential figures also praised the sincere efforts of Paghman District officials in strengthening unity and social cohesion, particularly in facilitating this significant reconciliation.
