21 Individuals Arrested in Connection with Criminal Offenses; Smuggling of Valuable Timber Prevented

Police personnel from the Third Police District in Jalalabad arrested a 10-member criminal gang during an intelligence-led operation. The group had allegedly been involved in thefts at various locations across the city.
Items recovered from the suspects included one rickshaw, three pistols, several knives, and other equipment.
Meanwhile, criminal investigation units of the Ministry of Interior conducted separate operations across the country, arresting:
Four suspects in connection with the theft of solar equipment in Jowzjan Province.
Four alleged thieves in Farah Province.
Three suspects linked to the theft of a vehicle in Bamyan Province.
In addition, personnel from the Forest Protection and Monitoring Unit of the Paktika Police Command prevented the smuggling of valuable timber loaded onto seven cargo vehicles during operations carried out over the past week.
