16 Arrested for Drug Trafficking and Sales in Herat

The Counter-Narcotics Police of Herat Provincial Police Command, during several separate operations over the past week, arrested 16 individuals in connection with drug trafficking and sales.

From the detainees, the following were seized: 75 kilograms of liquid opium, 97 kilograms of “Afghan Ice” (methamphetamine), 700 liters of alcoholic beverages, as well as a quantity of heroin, hashish, and intoxicating tablets.
