A nearly 150-year-old feud between two families in Nika District of Paktika Province has been resolved, with both sides reconciling and restoring friendship and brotherhood.
Following the efforts of the Invitation and Guidance Department of the Paktika Police Command, under the direction of Qari Aminullah Tayyib, Police Chief of the province, and through the mediation of the public council, religious scholars and tribal elders, the longstanding feud between the two families was brought to an end.
The feud had originated from a family dispute in which a member of one of the families had been killed, and the conflict had continued for nearly 150 years.
Through persistent efforts and meetings between the two families, officials paved the way for reconciliation. Ultimately, both sides agreed to forgive one another and put an end to their longstanding feud.
