Balkh Counter-Narcotics Police Achievements Over the Past Year

Over the past year, the Counter-Narcotics Police of Balkh Province have made significant progress in combating drug-related crimes and supporting vulnerable groups.

A total of 596 individuals involved in drug trafficking and distribution were arrested. Authorities also seized and destroyed 761,543 kilograms of narcotics and 542,400 liters of alcoholic beverages.

In ongoing efforts to address addiction, 3,030 drug addicts were collected. Of these, 2,121 were treated and discharged, 425 were referred to rehabilitation centers, and 484 remain under treatment.

Additionally, police collected 1,156 needy individuals. After biometric registration, 102 were identified as eligible for aid and received cash and food assistance in coordination with charitable organizations.
