Thirteen-Year Feud Between Two Families Resolved Through Mediation in Khost
A 13-year-long feud between two families in the Dab area of central Khost Province has been peacefully resolved through the mediation of local authorities and tribal elders.
The dispute, which began 13 years ago and had resulted in three people being injured, was settled through the efforts of the local administration and the intervention of influential community elders.
Speaking at a gathering held on the occasion, Mawlawi Mahboob Shah Qanit, Deputy Governor of Khost, stated that fostering unity among tribes and eliminating conflicts are key policies of the Islamic Emirate. He urged tribal elders to play a constructive role in resolving disputes and to make the necessary efforts in this regard.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, members of both families expressed full satisfaction with the decision and embraced one another, marking the end of the long-standing conflict.
