Over 100 Tons of Opium and IEDs Seized in Logar Province

Yesterday, General Command of Police Special Units conducted a special clearance operation in Ghogiz region, Azra district, Logar province.

As a result, General Command of Police Special Units discovered and destroyed an ammunition and opium cache consist of one 82mm artillery shell, two machine guns, two pistols, nine rockets, one vehicle, 50000kg ammonium nitrate and 53000kg hashish.

In a separate report, 14 Taliban militants were killed and 18 other Taliban militants were wounded during a clearance operation carried out by General Command of Police Special Units in Qala-e- Zal district, northern Kunduz province.
