72 Tons of Drugs Seized and Destroyed

Afghan Counter-Narcotics Special Operation Police and Afghan Air Forces carried out successful special operations in the Gul Surkh region, Zazai Aryoub district, eastern Paktia province.

 

As a result, Afghan Counter-Narcotics Special Operation Police and Afghan Air Forces found and destroyed 72000kg of opium in the scene.

 

26 different types of rifles, nine radio handsets, 18000 bullets and some amount of ammunition and military equipment were also seized.

 

Five suspects were arrested in connection to this case and no was harmed during the operation.

 

The Ministry of Interior Affairs is committed to fight against narcotics and Afghan Counter-Narcotics Special Operation Police are having major success in fighting against smugglers and narcotics, which will continue.
