12 Individuals Arrested in Connection with Criminal Offenses in 7 Provinces

The Ministry of Interior Affairs’ Criminal Investigation Police arrested 12 individuals in several separate operations in connection with murder, theft, and the smuggling of medicines and timber across seven provinces.
Of those arrested, four were detained for timber smuggling in Dara Pech District of Kunar Province; three for theft in Faryab; one for smuggling 95 cartons of medicines in Nad Ali District of Helmand Province; one for stealing gold and AFN 54,000 from a residential home in Jawzjan; one for murder in Samangan; one for stealing a vehicle in Nimroz; and another for house burglaries in Farah, involving a vehicle and a firearm.
