One-Day Seminar Held to Implement the Ministry of Interior’s Media Policy

A one-day training seminar was held by the General Directorate of Public Relations of the Ministry of Interior Affairs to better organize the ministry’s media affairs, ensure the accurate and responsible dissemination of official information, and strengthen coordination among relevant departments.
The Ministry of Interior’s Media Policy was approved by Acting Minister of Interior Affairs, Al-Hajj Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani. The policy is considered an important guideline for regulating the ministry’s media activities and ensuring more effective media-related work.
Al-Hajj Mawlawi Abdul Hakim Hemmat Akhundzada, Director General of Public Relations; Mawlawi Shir Ahmad Rohani, Director of Community Police and 119; as well as a number of officials and personnel of the directorate, attended the seminar.
In his remarks, the Director General of Public Relations said that better organization of media affairs and the timely and accurate sharing of official information require coordination with the relevant directorates and departments of the ministry. He emphasized that serious attention should be paid to better implementing the decrees and orders of the Amir al-Mu’minin, the guidelines of the ministry’s leadership, and instructions issued by relevant officials.
He added that personnel of the General Directorate of Public Relations must exercise accuracy, responsibility, professionalism, and coordination with relevant departments when collecting and publishing official information, and conduct all media-related affairs in accordance with the principles of the approved policy.
During the seminar, the key principles of the Media Policy and methods for its implementation were explained to the participants. Necessary guidance was also provided on collecting, assessing, and publishing information; professional engagement with the media; sharing official information; and maintaining the required coordination with relevant directorates.
It is worth mentioning that the approved Media Policy of the Ministry of Interior Affairs comes into effect today for all relevant media affairs of the ministry. All personnel of the General Directorate of Public Relations will conduct their duties in accordance with this policy, the decrees and orders of the Amir al-Mu’minin, the guidelines of the ministry’s leadership, and relevant official instructions.
