A 45-year-long feud between two families in the Alisher and Terezi districts of Khost Province was resolved and transformed into friendship through the mediation of local officials and tribal elders.

At a ceremony held on this occasion, Mawlawi Mahboob Shah Qanat, the Deputy Governor of Khost, expressed hope about the rapid progress of reconciliation efforts. He also urged all members of the formerly hostile families to resolve their issues through dialogue and to live peacefully and sincerely alongside one another.

Additionally, Alhaj Mullah Abdullah Hamad, the Khost Police Chief, congratulated both sides and called on the people to end hostilities and disputes, and to live together in an atmosphere of peace.

Several participants in the ceremony thanked the tribal elders and members of the affected families for resolving their longstanding conflict through negotiation and choosing the path of peace.
