Attempt to Smuggle 61 Kilograms of Opium Prevented in Baghlan Province

Counter-Narcotics officers from the Baghlan Provincial Police Command successfully prevented an attempt to smuggle 61 kilograms of opium during an operation.
As part of the operation, three individuals were arrested in connection with the trafficking of 44 kilograms of opium from Jalga district. In a separate incident, police apprehended another individual in Pul-e-Khumri, the provincial capital, while he was attempting to smuggle 17 kilograms of opium to Kabul.
The detained individuals will be handed over to the judicial authorities upon completion of preliminary investigations.
