Afghanistan Ministry of Interior Delegation Concludes Seven-Day Working Visit to China

A three-member delegation of the Ministry of Interior, headed by Mawlawi Zainullah Abir, Director General of the Office of the Ministry’s Leadership, has concluded its seven-day working visit to China after participating in an international security conference and holding separate meetings with Chinese security and administrative officials as well as representatives of several countries.
The international security conference was held on September 8 in Lianyungang, China, at the official invitation of the People’s Republic of China, with the participation of interior ministers, senior officials, representatives from 127 countries, and representatives of international security organizations.
The Ministry of Interior delegation actively participated in three components of the conference, including participants’ speeches on security-related issues, working meetings with Chinese security and administrative officials, and visits to security and police institutions in the country.
At the main session of the conference, Mawlawi Abdul Rahim Saqib, Chief Aide to the Minister of Interior, delivered a detailed speech on the security policies of the Islamic Emirate, the country’s security situation, and security achievements. His speech was simultaneously translated into several languages for the participants.
The Islamic Emirate delegation also held separate working meetings on the sidelines of the conference with security and security-related officials of China’s Ministry of Public Security, as well as representatives of the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Tajikistan, Algeria, Tunisia, Iran, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, and several other countries.
On the final day of the visit, the Ministry of Interior delegation visited a public services department in Suzhou and, at the conclusion of the trip, visited the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in China.
In addition to Mawlawi Zainullah Abir, Mawlawi Abdul Rahim Saqib and Mohammad Naseri, Director General of Communications and Technology of the Ministry of Interior, were also members of the delegation.
