Acting Minister of Interior Affairs IEA met with Special Representative of the Russian President for Afghanistan. 

Yesterday, afternoon, Mr. Zamir Kabulov, Special Representative of the Russian President for Afghanistan called on, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs IEA, H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani.

In this meeting, bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Russia, security issues, trade growth between the two countries and Russia's support for Afghanistan in regional and international forums were discussed.

In the beginning, H.E Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani termed the relations between Afghanistan and Russia as good and emphasized that more visits of delegations between the two countries will further strengthen the bilateral relations. The Minister of Interior Affairs said that the security and stability in Afghanistan is in the interest of the whole region, including Russia.

During the meeting,Special Representative of the Russian President called Afghanistan's security and stability in the interest of the entire region and praised the efforts of the Afghan government. Mr. Kabulov said that Russia respects the positions of the Afghan government and insists that the United Nations should take measures in agreement with the Afghan government. Mr. Kabulov also added that his country wants to increase the level of bilateral trade between Afghanistan and Russia.
