Acting Minister of Interior Affairs, IEA met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kabul. 

Acting Minister of Interior Affairs, IEA, H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani held an Introductory meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Mammadov in Kabul.

In this meeting, H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, apart from welcoming the opening of the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kabul, called the relations between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan based on the religious, political and cultural values ​​of both countries and hoped for their further development.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Mammadov, mentioned the opening of the embassy of the said country in Kabul as a historic step between the two countries and added that both countries have many common religious and cultural values. 

During the meeting, Mr. Mommadov termed Afghanistan's comprehensive security and successful fight against narcotics as the great achievements of the Afghan government and praised the efforts of the Islamic Emirate in these areas.
