Acting Minister of Interior Affairs-IEA, H.E. Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, met with the UN Secretary-General's Deputy, Gilles Michaud, and the UN's security head in Kabul, Indrika Ratwatte.

In this meeting, Mr. Michaud said that relations between the Islamic Emirate and the United Nations have strengthened and expressed gratitude for the security provided to UN staff. He also discussed the continuation of aid to Afghanistan.

H.E. Khalifa welcomed the delegation and assured them that security is stable across the country and also emphasized that UN staff or any other aid organization workers can continue their activities with confidence.
