55 People Arrested in Connection with Drug Trafficking, Sale, and Use Across Seven Provinces

Personnel of the Counter Narcotics Deputy Ministry arrested 55 individuals during separate operations conducted in the provinces of Nangarhar, Kandahar, Kunduz, Parwan, Kunar, Samangan, and Panjshir on charges related to the sale, use, and trafficking of narcotics.

Following preliminary investigations, the suspects will be referred to the relevant judicial and legal authorities.

During the operations, authorities seized 5 kilograms of opium, more than 1 kilogram of hashish, over 4 liters of alcoholic beverages, unspecified quantities of heroin and methamphetamine (crystal meth), and more than 1,000 narcotic tablets from the arrested individuals.
