50 Individuals Arrested in Connection with Drug Trafficking, Sale, and Use in Several Provinces

Personnel of the Counter-Narcotics Deputy Ministry of the Ministry of Interior conducted a series of separate operations in the provinces of Nangarhar, Farah, Jawzjan, Balkh, Kandahar, Khost, Baghlan, Kunar, Kapisa, Samangan, and Nimroz, resulting in the arrest of 50 individuals on charges related to the trafficking, sale, and use of narcotics.
During these operations, authorities seized 7 kilograms of opium, 3 kilograms of hashish, a quantity of methamphetamine (crystal meth), 6 liters of alcoholic beverages, and 1,369 intoxicating tablets from the arrested individuals.
