A 40-year-long feud between two families in the Gularam area of Laghman Province was resolved and transformed into a friendship through reconciliation efforts led by local authorities, community elders, and influential tribal figures.

Mawlawi Raz Mohammad Saadat, Director General of Jirgas and Mediation at the Laghman Directorate of Tribal and Ethnic Affairs, stated that the dispute began nearly four decades ago following an altercation between children, which resulted in the death of a member of one of the families.

Members of both families welcomed the reconciliation and expressed their satisfaction that, after many years, the longstanding hostility had come to an end and had been replaced by peace, friendship, and brotherhood through the efforts of local officials and respected community elders.
