12 Individuals Arrested in Connection with Drug Trafficking and Distribution Across Three Provinces

Counter-narcotics police in Bakwa District, Farah Province, arrested two individuals during an intelligence-led operation for allegedly trafficking 170 kilograms of methamphetamine (crystal meth). Two additional suspects were arrested in connection with the theft of a motorcycle.
Meanwhile, counter-narcotics police in Khushamand District, Paktika Province, arrested six individuals in possession of more than 6 kilograms of opium.
In a separate operation, counter-narcotics forces in Balkh Province arrested two individuals in Mazar-e-Sharif City and Chimtal District, seizing 6 kilograms of hashish.
