Police Prevent Illegal Weapons Smuggling in Paktia Province

Security personnel of Dand Patan District, Paktia Police Command, prevented the smuggling of illegal weapons during an intelligence-led operation.

The recovered weapons include:
34 pistols, 
4 M4 rifles, 
4 Kalashnikovs, 
1 Krinkov, 
1 M4 type pistol. 
These weapons were being smuggled illegally from a neighboring country into Afghanistan, but were discovered and seized by the security forces.

The smugglers fled the area before the arrival of the security forces; however, efforts to arrest them are ongoing.
