A Number of Weapons and Ammunition Seized, and 14 Individuals Arrested in Connection with Criminal Offenses

Personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Directorate of the Nimroz Provincial Police Command, during the past three months, discovered and seized:
13 Kalashnikov rifles, 
Seven pistols,
 Five locally made rifles. 
The seized weapons were handed over to the command’s DIAG Directorate in the presence of the designated committee.

Meanwhile, personnel of the Helmand Provincial Police Command arrested 14 individuals over the past two days in connection with theft and other criminal offenses.

From the arrested individuals, three motorcycles, 17 mobile phones, 400,000 Afghanis, one rocket launcher, one pistol, one Kalashnikov rifle, one rocket launcher scope, and a quantity of ammunition were recovered.
