A Large Quantity of Weapons and Military Equipment Seized in Helmand

Personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Department of Helmand Police Command seized 80 various types of firearms and military equipment over the past three months from the provincial capital and several districts.
The seized weapons and equipment included:

49 pistols, 
12 Kalashnikov rifles,
Seven break-action shotguns, 
Four M16 rifles, 
One rocket launcher,
Four Krinkov rifles, 
Two PK machine guns, 
1,026 laser lights, 
8,362 rounds of light and heavy ammunition, 
76 various types of magazines, 
13 packages of gunpowder, 
34 radio communication devices, 
Several military antennas.
In connection with these weapons and military equipment, 10 individuals were arrested and, after completion of their case files, referred to the judicial and prosecutorial authorities.
