13 Tons of Illicit Drugs Torched in Helmand

A total of 13 tons of illicit drugs collected over the past years was set on fire in southern province of Helmand.
The seized drugs most of them opium poppy and hashish collected during series of the operations by Counter- Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) from different parts of the province was set ablaze in a ceremony attended by deputy of Counter- Narcotics and provincial officials.
The Ministry of Interior Affairs is committed to the fight against narcotics and Counter-Narcotics Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) are having major success in fighting against smugglers and narcotics, which will continue.
