A Six-Member Counterfeiting Ring Arrested in Balkh Province

Personnel of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Balkh Provincial Police Command arrested a six-member counterfeiting ring during an intelligence-led operation in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif.
According to reports, the suspects would first purchase watches from shops in the city at low prices. They then prepared forged documents and receipts for the watches and sold them to the public at much higher prices under the names of well-known brands.
Security officials in Balkh Province have warned all offenders to refrain from committing crimes and illegal activities; otherwise, they will be arrested and brought to justice in accordance with the law.
