Argo Villages Cleared of Armed Taliban and Four Heroin Labs Destroyed



Up to three villages have been cleared of armed Taliban, following Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army joint clearance operations in the Argo district, northeastern Badakhshan province.

Also, during this operation, a senior commander of armed Taliban was arrested.

Afghan National Police and Afghan National Army destroyed four heroin labs and confiscated two AK-47 rifles, 14 kilos of opium and some amount of ammunition as well.

The joint clearance operation still continues in insecure villages of Argo district.
